My hometown-Guangzhou
Hello, everyone.
As you know, I am from Guangzhou, China. We also call Guangzhou as Canton, and most of the people who live in Guangzhou speak Cantonese. It is interesting thing in China because Mandarin, which is the official language in China, but in the south of China such as, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Macau, and Guangxi, people speak Cantonese which is totally different to Mandarin. Guangzhou is the capital city of the Guangdong province, it is one of the most largest and prosperous cities in China. Guangzhou is a food paradise because Cantonese like to eat which means you can find every kinds of food in Guangzhou; for example, hot food, mild food, Japanese food, Indian food, Korean food, and so on, especially for Chinese food. If you are ineresting in eat, please come to Guangzhou, you will fall in love with this city. This city has built since Shang dynasty which was more four thousand years ago. We got dozens of museums which are introducing about history or things about history.
Everyone likes Guangzhou, but the problem is the popultion issue. In Sub-provincial, the pupolation number is 1,27 million which is a third of Canada's population. What a number! Actually, compared with Toronto, Guangzhou does not have winter because the average temperature is around 18.3 C during the winter, and it is very hot and humid in summer, but we still like the city. I love my town, I love it so much. We are welcoming you to come to Guangzhou.
I went to Guangzhou this summer holiday and I love this city. As you know, I love eating;therefore, I went to this city in order to eat around the tasty local foods. To be honset, it is kind difficult for me to visit Guangzhou, the main reason is that I cannot understand what they say and I was so confused when native people talk to me!Bisides, there are too many poeple in the city and every street is crowded by people that I don't feel confortable. Generally, I like this city!
ReplyDeleteHaha,actually, most of the Cantonese are speaking Mandarin in nowadays because in our generation Mandarin became more and more useful in Guangzhou. I do not know why~!But it is good to hear that you like Guangzhou. You can go when we all in China, and I can be your guide and show you all the places for good food!!!
DeleteLast year, I went to Guangzhou with my university friends. Because my university is in Sanya, and compare to other cities, Guangzhou is the best choice for us. We went shopping, and eating all kinds of food that was so delicious.We visited the university of Zhongshan, Canton Tower and White Cloud Mountain. We enjoyed this journey. I think it is a good place to travel, but maybe it is not a appropriate place to live because they are too many people,and people are always busy.
ReplyDeleteReally? When did you go last year? I don't think Guangzhou has lot of scenic spots to visit, but we do have thousands of good restaurants fot eat. Next time, tell me before you come to Guangzhou, I will show the best place in Guangzhou. I like my city, but as you said people are everywhere, and it is a very busy city.
DeleteI like GuangZhou, before i came to Toronto, i ever went to GuangZhou. At that time the Guangdong Trade Exhibition was beginning, my father and i went to Guangzhou to attend this exhibition. In GuangZhou, I ate many delicious food. I visited many memorable places. such as,the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, the Huangpu Military Academy and so on. Although GuangZhou is so hot in summer, I think it is a nice place.

Did you like it? It must be very crowded during the Guangzhou International Trade Exhibition. Did you visit any other place in Guangzhou except Pearl River? We swin in the Pearl river every year, it is a traditional activity for all the Guangzhouese. I hope you like Guangzhou. Maybe next time, you should come with your family, and let's play together.
