Research sites

Here are some online research tips.

Try the York library online access, as we did in class. Remember that you can chat with a librarian online to get help.

You cannot site a Wikipedia source in your essay. However, you can often find academic sources for your topic by checking at the bottom of the Wikipedia article for your topic.

Here are some other online search pages that can help you find academic-style articles on your topic.

Google Scholar

Librarian site

Infomine

You could also search in the website of a large and well-respected organization related to your topic. For example, if your topic was to compare treatment of AIDS in Canada and India, you could go to the World Health Organization website and search in their website. Google Scholar
