Today, I want to introduce the traditional food that are called Zongzi are very famous in my hometown.Actually, most of people eat this traditional food on the Dragon Boat Festival that is our traditional festival.We have the history about Zongzi, and we want to commemorate the Qu Yuan who is a famous poet and patriot in China.He is from Chu, and he finally committed suicide because he was depressed and painful about his country that was destroyed by other country.Then people threw these Zongzi into the river to protect his body because they didn't want his body was eaten by fishes. As for the way of making Zongzi, we need to use palm leaves and some food material, such as meat, sticky rice, mushroom and so on. You can put everything that you like;however you must have sticky rice. Then you need to use palm leaves to warp them.Finally, you should use rope to tie it up.Maybe you looks it's easy for you, but it's difficult to wrap it. In my hometown, we have all kinds of the Zongzi because we have the company that produces the Zongzi is quiet famous and has long history. I like Zongzi very much, so if you also want to try these food, you can buy it in some Chinese supermarkets.
